This past weekend the team captured its fourth overall GWOC title in five years, edging out Northmont by 10 points.
David Uzhca and Logan Kemp were Champions. Hunter Smith brought home second. John Forman took third. Muayad Mustafa, Evan Pulaski, Drew Wiechers, and Max Miller all placed 4th.

The Elks won the Champions Cup again by beating Beavercreek in a dual. The final score was 38-27. The contest was wrapped up in the last match with a pin by John Forman. Great job team.

This weekend saw the varsity in action at the Perrysburg Invitational Tournament. The team took home 6th place with three placers. Logan Kemp took second, Max Miller took third, and Michael Markham brought back fifth place.
The JV competed and won the Versailles JV Tournament.

The Elks put in a great night of wrestling, collecting two dual wins over GWOC opponents.
The first win of the night was against Miamisburg, where the guys won 45 - 23.
The second came against a tough Lebanon team, winning by a score of 41 - 27.
With those two wins, the team moves to a dual record of 3-1.

Hope your day off of practice is restful. There have been many questions, so here it goes.
Practice the next 2 weeks, varsity only means varsity are mandated to be there. Anyone wanting to practice, yes please come. If I was a young buck, I certainly would make an impression to coaches, that hey I want to be here and get better!!
Jv/frosh meet: My goal was to get jv/frosh matches over the break. Yes, this was a late addition, but has been on the schedule for a while. There will be a weigh in, but only to match kids up and get them as many matches as possible. I DO NOT CARE HOW MUCH YOU WEIGH FOR THIS EVENT. Bus leaves at 3:30 and starts at 6-lakota east hs.
Finally 50th anniversary clothes orders. I used 2 vendors for clothing this year. One vendor have used for years and am extremely tired of dealing with. With that said everything looks great!!
The 50th clothes is from a small company that I have dealt with before and have been happy with. There have been some problems with delivery. Some of the clothes will arrive this week. He has had a problem with the supplier. When I know something, I will let you know.

The Elks had a good showing this weekend as we took 8th place. This is a tough tournament and we had some moments of great wrestling.
Logan Kemp was the 195 lbs. champion and the Outstanding Wrestler!!! Muyuad Mustafa took 3rd. Evan Pulaski earned 4th. Hunter Smith grabbed 6th. Drew Wiechers finished 8th.

Mixed results for the Elks tonight. We dropped our first Dual 22 - 37 to the Harrison Wildcats. We had a nice bounce back match against the Springboro Panthers, beating our GWOC rivals 38-27.
